About

We make video games. AWESOME! Specifically, we make video games that are exciting and different. Video games that encourage social play. Video games that push the limits of how people play games. Oh, and video games that are FUN.

Located in ever-sunny Cambridge, MA, we’re hard at work on our newest game, Slam Bolt Scrappers! It’s a mash up of brawling and puzzle solving that we think you’re going to really enjoy (primarily because of the missiles, lasers, and flying). For more info, check out our Games section.  If you’re in the Boston area and want to do some playtesting for us, drop us a line at test <at> firehosegames [dot] com and we’ll have you swing by.

What kind of omelet is Ethan making? What is in Jacques' hat? And does Tovah even know how to use the deep fryer?

Ethan, Jacques, Jason, Sharat, Eitan’s Head, and Tovah. Can you smell what the Hose is cooking?

Fire Hose Team

Eitan Glinert is our founder, creative director, and fire chief. When he’s not playing hockey or messing around with Legos he likes to spend time working on making games more accessible.

Sharat Bhat is our programmer and resident Tales of Vesperia expert.  He was the most prolific developer at the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT game lab, which is impressive considering how much time he spends developing zombie outbreak survival strategies.

Ethan Fenn is our programmer and principal trombonist. He thinks he knows German, and is really good at Guitar Hero and Rock Band since he helped make them.

Jason Wiener is our artist. He has a knack for “acquiring” televisions and is pretty handy when it comes to making compelling characters.

Jacques Pena is our newest artist, and has recently invented a time machine that you lay down on comfortably, and if you wait long enough you will wake up 4-8 hours into the future.

Jeff Ward is our newest programmer and toolsmith.  Having previously worked at Orbus Gameworks and Bethesda, Jeff is excited to join the team and help us eliminate bottlenecks in our burrito ordering process.

Alec Shobin is our business development specialist and marketing mastermind.  He’s been known to bullseye womp rats in our T-16 and enjoys making jokes about your face.

Tiffany Otto is our new marketing intern and token Sims fan.  She enjoys Barbie, the color pink, and Dungeons and Dragons.  When not discussing the finer points of pumice stones, she can be found owning the nearest noob.
